Storm training program information
Sauk Rapids-Rice Activities is excited to invite the Youth Basketball Association players to participate in our Storm Training Program—a year-round opportunity designed to help student-athletes continue developing into faster, stronger, and more explosive athletes while maintaining a foundation of health and wellness.
New training sessions begin each season, allowing athletes to seamlessly transition into the program following the conclusion of their sport. This initiative supports participation in school-sponsored activities while offering ongoing athletic development.
The Storm Training Program runs four days a week immediately after school and features two days of traditional weight-based training and two days of sprint-based training.
Our training model is grounded in scientific research and is aligned with the practices used by top collegiate and professional athletic programs. Because the program is school-operated, we are able to offer it at a significantly reduced cost compared to similar programs in the community.
Beyond physical development, the program provides student-athletes with the opportunity to train alongside teammates, strengthening team chemistry and trust—essential elements of success on the court.
We encourage you to take advantage of this valuable opportunity to support your child's continued athletic growth. For questions or inquiries about financial assistance, please contact matthew.bueckers@isd47.org.
