Girls Basketball

Our program serves girls in grades 3-8 who attend school or reside in the Sauk Rapids-Rice School District.

Players in 3rd and 4th grade are placed on balanced teams to ensure equal skill levels across the board.

For 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, players will be evaluated in September and assigned to either an ‘A’ or ‘B’ team, based on skill level and performance during the assessment.

REGISTRATION FEE

Grades 3-4 $260.00

Grades 5-8 $310.00

Games/Tournaments

Grades 3-4 will compete in the Becker League and participate in two (2) tournaments.

Grades 5-8 will take part in six (6) tournaments.

All teams have the option to participate in additional tournaments; however, any extra costs will be split among the team members.

Practices

Practices take place at schools within the Sauk Rapids-Rice School District, with teams rotating through different gym locations throughout the season.

Schedules—including specific days, times, and locations—are determined based on gym availability and may vary week to week. The school district typically confirms gym space about two weeks in advance.

Most teams will practice twice per week. However, during the school basketball season, 7th and 8th grade teams will typically practice once per week to accommodate their school commitments.

Practice sessions will be held from 6:00–7:30 PM or 7:30–9:00 PM, with older teams generally assigned the later time slot.

Extra Costs

Additional costs beyond the initial registration fee may apply for any optional tournaments or extra practices the team chooses to participate in.

Please note:

Warm-up shirts (shooting shirts) are not included in the registration fee and must be purchased separately if desired.
